What happens if I switch to a new provider and they leave the market?
In the state of Texas, the electricity industry is regulated by the Public Utility Commission. If your provider leaves the market for any reason, this commission regulates that your service will automatically be transferred to the Provider of the Last Resort (POLR) with no loss of service. Notification of any such change is automatically generated and forwarded to the customer.

Do all Texans have the power to choose their own electricity provider?
No. City-owned utilities and member-owned electric cooperatives have the option of the deregulating their area. To find out more about deregulation in your area, visit www.powertochoose.com or call 1-866-PWR-4-TEX.

If you are interested in choosing Dynowatt as your electric service provider and would like to know if a deposit will be required, we will be happy to assist you.

What is renewable (green power)?
Green power is another name for renewable energy. It’s derived from sources such as solar (sun), wind, biomass, and hydro (water) - which are natural, renewable, and don’t contribute to global warming. Green power is 100% free of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides - the primary cause of smog, acid rain, greenhouse gases and contributors to asthma, lung cancer and respiratory illnesses. When you choose green power for your home or business, you’re supporting the development and adoption of alternative, renewable energy. It’s easy to do - and future generations will thank you.

Where does Dynowatt’s green power come from?
Dynowatt’s green power is generated from wind mills in Texas. When you purchase green power from Dynowatt you are not only helping the environment, you are also helping the Texas economy by supporting "green-collar" jobs right here in Texas.
